This month I had the opportunity to explore the city I’ve been living in for two years, but with so much studying, I never actually get to explore, let alone get out and take pictures. Welcome to Halifax!
If you’re ever visiting Halifax on the weekend, I would highly recommend checking out the Halifax Seaport Farmers Market. There’s hundreds of vendors, offering everything from fresh produce, to baked goods and food from every culture, and the best part is: it’s located on the waterfront!
As you walk along the Halifax waterfront, you’ll see families, dogs, lots of patios and boats. There are so many interesting places to stop along the waterfront, whether you’re in search of fresh fish, a cold beer, or an ice cream cone. One of my personal favourite attractions is the “Drunken Lights” along the boardwalk.
I discovered a new favourite restaurant this summer- Gahan House! They have an indoor restaurant along with an outside patio along the waterfront- and as someone who gets cold easily, I was so happy when our server brought out blankets because of the wind! The food at Gahan house is amazing, and they have such a large variety of handcrafted ales.
And thanks to this special guy for always tagging along with me for my Halifax adventures and letting me take pictures of him.
Along with exploring the city, I also had the opportunity to hike the Bluff Wilderness hiking trail, and my friend Chris made a video! Click here if you’d like to check it out 🙂
Until next time,
